  • 8cm., 3 1/8 in. diameter
circular, representing the Capitoline Doves, set on a tortoiseshell snuff box with gold piqué decoration and mounts, probably French, circa 1800 and later, unmarked

Condition

micromosaic in good condition. tortoiseshell with cracks to box, restoration to lid but almost not noticeable. Some gold decoration missing. gold mounts probably taken apart and refitted but good order in overall.
