- A gold-mounted lacquer boîte à miniatures, possibly German, various dates
- gold, tortoiseshell,
- 7cm, 2 3/4 in. wide
rectangular ingot form, the lid, sides and base with glazed gold-framed Bacchanalian miniatures en grisaille, on a cinnabar red lacquer ground, mounted en cage within gold borders incised with angular patterns, the gold lining with French prestige marks comprising the charge marks Henri Clavel and J.J. Prévost, the rim with later French import mark (ET)

Condition
Ministures faded and with dry mould. Some cracks to lacquer.Traces of glue around frames.
