Description

  • 21cm., 8 1/4 in. high
the faceted spout finely chased with cross-hatched and foliate designs and with bird head terminal to spout, engraved to opposing side with armorial and crest, the simple shell detail socket mounted C-scroll wooden handle with capped terminal with mask detail, the domed hinged cover with chased foliate and scroll running border around squat urn finial, the underside with scratch weight 25 = 16

Condition

Handle is later replaced. Surface is bright with coat-of-arms rubbed. Seam is visible down inside in line with handle. The inside with three probably later pegs added near top (for strainer). flat-chasing is a little rubbed as are other highlights. Good gauge and quality
