Description

painted in Chinese 'transitional' style with an oriental scholar and his assistant holding a parasol walking through a garden, with a seated boy to the right, framed by a foliate scroll border at the rim,

Condition

In generally good condition. There is a flat chip to the rim located at 4 o'clock on the face, which measures approximately 4.2cm wide. There is a small chip to the face of the dish which measures 0.4cm x 0.3cm. There is some typical minor glaze loss and associated scratching on the outer edge of the rim and to the reverse of the well of the dish.
