Description

  • 6.8cm., 2 5/8 in. across; 3cm., 1 1/4 in. high
all sides moulded with rococo flower-scroll panels, finely painted in enamels with groups of figures in Arcadian scenes in Watteau-style, the scene on the base with a figure of Harlequin spying on lovers, the interior of the cover with a boy and two girls playing blind man's buff, the interior burnished gilt, the mounts cast with shells, scrolls and flowers,

very minor wear on base corners, not affecting panels or painting
