Description
- porcelain, gold
- 6.8cm., 2 5/8 in. high
modelled standing with its talons perched on a tree stump, its detachable head inscribed 'FIDELITE' on white enamel, the mounted base painted with small flower sprigs with a hinged agate compartment concealing a small mirror and a larger flower spray to the underside, the edge inscribed 'QUI ME NEG/=LIGE ME PERD' on white enamel,

Condition
The head with old repair around the neck, lacking chain. Its left wing with small glazed over shallow chip. Otherwise in generally good condition. The hardstone base is a replacement with minor damage to enamel band with one split in mount.
