Catalogue Note

Johan Vink (1684-1755) was the son of an accountant of the VOC. He started his apprenticeship in 1692 with his uncle Tobias Bruijns, who then specified in his will that Vink should continue his trade in his house. He became master in 1704 and there is no record of his silver production after 1738.
