Catalogue Note
Very few of these models appear to be recorded in the literature. One is illustrated by Earle D. Vandekar in the exhibition catalogue, An Introduction to Dutch Delftware exhibition catalogue, London, 1978, pl. 7. Inspired by a Chinese model, standing figures are also known, one bearing the mark of Lambertus van Eenhoorn, director of the De Metale Pot factory, was sold in these rooms, 10th July 1972, lot 197.
