engraved with the Last Supper and St. Peter, underside engraved with crossed keys and 'Bergen', later Dutch control mark

Condition

nice and crisp engraving, clear marks. Some wear commensurate with age.

Catalogue Note

This beaker might have been dedicated to the parochial church of St Peter in Bergen, a town in the Dutch province of Limburg. St Peter's church was a Romanesque church of which only the tower remains after being destroyed in 1944.
