Description
Taittinger, Comtes de Champagne, Blanc de Blancs 1996
(Disgorged in 2012.) In 2014 and from magnum, a very attractive, hawthorn nose. And a very brioche and lemon zest taste. Quite mineral. Silky textured. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
Disgorged and tasted in 2014 from magnum, a wonderful, total class Champagne nose. A touch 'reductive' at first, but I like that (as I do at the beginning of a great White Burgundy - it often denotes ultimate longevity). Myriad hedgerow aromas. Vanillin on the palate, backed up by creamy hazelnuts. Superb, streamlined stuff. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
