Description
Château Haut Brion Blanc 1983
Pessac-Léognan (Graves)
u. 2x3cm, 2x3.5cm, 3x4cm, damp soiled and faded labels, 2 corroded capsules, 1 slightly sunken cork, excellent color and clarity
In 2012, a lovely 'petrol' nose that I often associate with mature HBB, with a touch of gentians. Lanolin lime taste, so rich and fat. The volume of a great Montrachet but, of course, a totally different taste. Lemony finish - I guessed it was a decade younger. Next day, with prawns and a touch of chilli - perfect. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
