Description
Château Haut Brion Blanc 1983
Pessac-Léognan (Graves)
U. 4x3cm, 6x3.5cm, 2x4cm, 11 slightly damp stained labels, 1 heavily damp stained label, 3 capsules slightly corroded, 1 slightly sunken cork
In 2012, a lovely 'petrol' nose that I often associate with mature HBB, with a touch of gentians. Lanolin lime taste, so rich and fat. The volume of a great Montrachet but, of course, a totally different taste. Lemony finish - I guessed it was a decade younger. Next day, with prawns and a touch of chilli - perfect. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
