Description

  • gold, citrine quartz
The cushion-cut citrine within an openwork mounting decorated with scrollwork flourishes, size 8, partially signed Tiffany & Co.; 1910-1915.

Condition

The mounting in fair to good condition with wear to the highpoints of the chased engraving commensurate with age. The shank is split at the site of where it had previously been sized. The bezel presents an uneven outline on close inspection; it is unclear if this is original to the time of manufacture or if the stone had been removed for polishing. The richly colored medium-deep orange citrine is eye-clean with one small cavity to a bezel facet. Accompanied by a copy of a Letter of Authenticity from Janet Zapata, author of The Jewelry and Enamels of Louis Comfort Tiffany.
