Description

  • diamond, emerald
Centering an old mine-cut diamond weighing approximately 1.75 carats, framed by calibré-cut emeralds, set at the sides with two single-cut diamonds, mounted in platinum, size 7.

Condition

In good condition. The shank displays minor scratching and some discoloration. The two side diamonds are old European cuts rather than single-cut diamonds and weigh approximately .05 carat and are H-I, and are SI-I clarity. The center diamond is approximately H-I color, VS-SI with regards to internal clarity though there appears to be chipping in several places along the girdle visible under close inspection though the extent of the chipping is obscured by the bezel around the diamond. The emeralds are mostly intact though display several chips to their edges and range from a medium to a medium deep green and are moderately included. Please note this ring is of Art Deco inspiration and does not date to circa 1920.
