Designed as a blackamoor, set with a carved and pierced jade plaque of foliate design, within a stylized foliate frame, the headdress, collar and sash set with round diamonds, gross weight approximately 82 dwts.

Condition

In good condition. The gold displays small to minor nicks and scratches commensurate with wear. The diamonds are approximately G-H color, VVS-VS clarity weighing a total of approximately 4.60 carats. The jade is semi-translucent, intact and a medium deep, very slightly bluish green with some minor color mottling. The gold fronds are quite sharp. The face is blackened gold. The brooch is 4 inches long and quite heavy, weighing 82 dwts.
