Set with a pear-shaped cabochon dendritic opal, with stylized foliate accents, the frame and accents set with round diamonds, mounted in white gold, size 6ΒΌ, signed with Chinese characters for Sifen Chang.

Condition

In very good condition. The opal is intact and in good condition, presenting violet blue overtones with visible dendrites throughout. The opal weighs approximately 18.60 carats. The diamonds are approximately G-H color, predominantly VS clarity and are estimated to weigh a total of approximately 2.20 carats. Dendritic opals were most famously used by Carl Faberge, who used yellow varieties of the stone for one of his famous egg-shaped boxes created for the Russian Czar in the early 20th century.
