Each composed of lengths of hematite beads, interspersed with spacers set with polished peridot and chalcedony respectively, enamel and brilliant-cut diamonds; each length approximately 820mm, one signed Marina B, each with French assay and maker's marks, case stamped Marina B.
Condition
Chalcedony necklace: French assay marks for 18 carat gold. Maker's mark and signed MB. Numbered C371. Chalcedony of light and dark blue, abrasions consistent with wear. Secure clasp. Scratches to metal consistent with wear.
Peridot necklace: French assay marks for 18 carat gold. Maker's mark and signed MB and Marina B. Peridot of light green, light abrasions consistent with wear. Diamonds bright and lively. Secure clasp. Scratches to metal consistent with wear. Hematite beads in good condition on both. Each in good condition. Case stamped Marina B.

Catalogue Note
The Marina B necklaces offered here were part of the collection of Madame Hélène Rochas, wife of the French perfumer and fashion designer Marcel Rochas. In 1955, after her husband's death, she took over the company and created acclaimed fragrances such as 'Madame Rochas', 'Femme' and 'Eau de Rochas'. Hélène Rochas, known for her remarkable beauty, was one of the most elegant women of her generation and recognised for her refined taste.
