Designed as an insect, set with polished malachite wings, circular-cut sapphires and diamonds, accented with cabochon sapphire eyes, partially signed Chaumet, British hallmarks.
Condition
British hallmarks for 18 carat gold, 1973. Partially signed Chaumet, the claw has been later added and so partially covers the signature. Malachite in good condition. Sapphires dark blue, transparent, typical inclusions visible under magnification, light abrasion to facet edges consistent with wear. Diamonds bright and lively. Secure clasp. Scratches to metal consistent with wear. In good condition.
