Each of flower design, the centre claw-set with a cabochon ruby, the petals pavĂ©-set with circular-cut diamonds, one with partial maker's mark for Cartier, French assay marks, later ear clip fittings.

Condition

Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US; this piece may contain a ruby of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Certification of non-Burmese origin is required before the import of rubies into the US. Please see our Important Notices and contact the jewellery department for further information. Accompanied by The Gem & Pearl Laboratory report no. 12659, stating that the rubies are of Burmese origin, with no indications of heat treatment. One with partial maker's mark for Cartier, both with French assay marks. Possibly converted from a pair of brooches, now with later earring clip fittings to the reverse. One flower head with partial maker's marks for Cartier, the other flower head unmarked. Total diamond weight approximately 18.00-22.00 carats, stones bright and lively with mixed colours and clarities, estimated approximately H-J, VS to SI on average, a few stones I/included. Rubies deep red, heavily abraded with characteristic inclusions some surface reaching. Estimated total ruby weight approximately 4.00-5.00 carats.
