Claw-set with an step-cut ruby weighing 5.23 carats, surrounded by marquise-shaped diamonds, size M, French assay and maker's marks.
Condition
Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US; this piece may contain a ruby of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Certification of non-Burmese origin is required before the import of rubies into the US. Please see our Important Notices and contact the jewellery department for further information.
Accompanied by Gemmological Certifications Services report no. 5776-3391, stating that the ruby is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating.
French assay mark for 18 carat gold. Maker's mark. Ruby of light purplish red, transparent, typical inclusions visible to the naked eye, very slight abrasions to facet edges consistent with wear. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 5.50-7.50 carats, estimated colour H-J, estimated clarity VS-SI on average. Scratches to metal consistent with wear. In good condition.
