Description

Each depicting entwined snakes decorated with calibré-cut emeralds and rubies, circular-cut diamonds, enamel and pearls, post fittings, fitted case.

Please note that the pearls have not been tested for natural origin.

Condition

Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US; this piece may contain a ruby of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Certification of non-Burmese origin is required before the import of rubies into the US. Please see our Important Notices and contact the jewellery department for further information. Rubies purplish red, transparent-translucent, typical inclusions visible under the naked eye, abrasions consistent with wear. Emeralds light green, transparent, abrasions consistent with wear, typical inclusions visible under the naked eye. Sapphires light blue, transparent, abrasions consistent with wear, typical inclusions visible under the naked eye. Some stones deficient. A few seed pearl deficient, some rubies substituted with vitrum pastae. Pearls of white body colour with strong rose and green overtones, well matched in colour, low lustre, pitting to nacre and growth marks visible to the naked eye on each. Diamonds bright and lively. Signs of glue. Scratches to base metal consistent with wear.
