Printed broadside document signed "James Madison", on a full sheet (17 x 20 1/2 in.; 430 x 510 mm); with two seals and accomplished in a clerical hand, being a four-language ship's paper for the Thomas, a ship of 317 tons commanded by William Millner sailing from Baltimore, laden with "Resin, Turpentine, Provisions of Wax, Cotton, Tobacco" countersigned "A Smith" by the Secretary of State; matted and glazed, not examined out of frame.
