Catalogue Note

First edition of the legendary publication by Eileen Gray and Jean Badovici, off-print of the 1929 review L'Architecture Vivante, dedicated entirely to the iconic conceptual E-1027 house, Gray's first architectural creation, built on the hill of Roquebrune-Cap-Martin between 1926 and 1929.

E-1027 was designed and built from 1926-29 by Eileen Gray and is considered to be Gray's first major work, making indistinct the border between architecture and decoration.
Rare inscribed copy to Paul Dugué.
