8vo (190 x 115 mm). Half-title, state A of the title with engraved vignette by Borley after Bolomey of Justice, helmet on her head, holding a scale in her right hand and a lance raising a hat in the left, a cat at her feet, and the last two leaves cancelled; some occasional light marginal spotting, pale damp-stain touching the lower edge of title and first few ff, and another touching the head of a few ff, end-papers browned around edges. Contemporary mottled calf, spine gilt in compartments with morocco label; joints and spine a bit rubbed & dry.
