Folio (12 7/8 x 10 1/2 in.; 326 x 265 mm.), stipple engraved portrait frontispiece, dedication leaf, 27 aquatint plates, maps and plans (13 colored by hand, 12 with overslips, one doublepage and one folding), aquatint vignettes in the text, two with overslips, other illustrations in the text; first leaves browned, dampstain on portrait and 2 other plates, foxing and offsetting, folding plate torn. Contemporary half brown calf with corners, gilt spine; rubbed.
