the later shaped grey and green marble top above two marquetry drawers with bead and reel mounts, the corners with lion masks

Condition

The illustration of the catalogue is accurate but the commode is less orange in reality. Good condition with small cracks and lifts to the veneer. One minor vertical construction crack to the right hand side panel. The front discoloured by sunlight. Gilding extensively worn and tarnished. The ormolu ends of both back feet missing. Marble top replaced. Good quality of marquetry, nice shape.
