with carved and shaped backrests, the padded armrests terminating in a carved Greek key pattern with piasters and beading, on fluted and tapered legs, upholstered in yellow floral silk

Condition

The illustration of the catalogue is accurate. Good overall condition. There are the inevitable minor dents, marks and scratches due to age and use. There are minor chips and rubbed areas to the gilding, revealing the white gesso, the red bowl and the wood underneath. Both constructions are firm and sound. The silk is in good overall condition.
