each with an arched upholstered backrest, padded armrests raised on leaf carved supports, the bow fronted seat with a loose cushion, raised on tapered fluted legs; carved with leaf tips and covered in red velvet, stamped P. Brizard
Condition
A handsome pair of bergères in good conserved condition. The white paint and gesso to both chairs is atmospherically distressed as one would expect from age and use. There is an old repair to an arm of one chair which is secure. Both back rests are secure. The later upholstery is in good condition with some wear notably to the arm rests. The decoration has been refreshed in areas.
