Description

- 75cm. high, 30cm. wide; 2ft. 5½in., 1ft.
with pleated silk shades, each on a porcelain-mounted lacquered wood base with conforming decoration
Condition
In reasonable restored condition. One lamp has broken at the neck and been sympathetically restored - the break lines are still visible when inspected closely. Both vases have chips throughout to the lacquer decoration particularly to the borders of the white porcelain strips. The wooden bases of both vases have chips and some minor restorations including glue residue to the underside. There are old marks and scratches throughout commensurate with age and use.
These are currently adapted as lamps however Sotheby's recommends consulting a professional electrician to undertake any electrical works.
