of rectangular padded form and applied with coloured passmenterie

Provenance

The 18th century appliqué panel, Kugel, Paris.

Condition

The central panel has a small tear to one side, this area also has signs of old wax residue which cold have caused the tear when cleaning was attempted. The panel has some further signs of wear commensurate with age and use - but still retains much of its colour and detail The later banquette structure has some minor signs of wear and some small losses and tears but is in sound condition.
