Condition

Overall in reasonable conserved condition, with marks, scratches and minor losses consistent with age and use. The original marble top has a chip to the back edge and has been broken and repaired to the back left corner although this is not noticeable. This elegant commode would benefit to professional attention, namely to the lacquer, which presents craquelure which needs stabilizing and several losses to the drawer panels. The gilt-bronze mounts have been regilded and would benefit from a clean. Photos of the losses are available on request.
