Condition
Overall, the condition of the bronze is good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. The bronze is composed of sections, and screws to hold sections in place are slightly visible to the reverse at the arms and legs of the couple and to the satyr's proper right shoulder. A few sections are slightly loose but stable, including the central figure's proper left arm and proper right leg, and both arms of the other Bacchante. There is some minor rubbing to the patination, notably at the high points. There is some very minor greening, including to the underside of the feet to the reverse, and to the proper left lower leg of the Bacchante with the tambourine. There are various minor nicks and scratches to the surface, notably an area of scratching to the proper left lower leg of the Bacchante with the tambourine.
