Catalogue Note

AN ORIGINAL RACKHAM WATERCOLOUR FOR HIS FAMOUS EDITION OF ALICE'S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND.

When the copyright on Alice's Adventures in Wonderland expired in 1907 a number of different publishers issued editions with newly commissioned illustrations. Rackham's version was one of the most successful. This is one of 13 ink and watercolour drawings which Rackham provided and is signed and dated 1907.
