a single leaf (sig. 28/4, folio CCXX), Chancery folio (223 x 174mm.), 40 lines plus headline, black letter (Caxton's type 4), containing the end of chapter 30 and the start of chapter 31 from book four (relating to the Emperor Theodosius), one three-line initial supplied in red with red paraphs and marginal notes added in Caxton's printing shop, framed and glazed to show both sides of leaf, a few small marginal repairs

together with a single leaf (sig. &2, folio CLXXXVI) from Jacobus de Voragine, The Golden Legend (London: Wynkyn de Worde, 1527), probably translated by William Caxton, folio (245 x 185mm.), containing part of the life of St Peter ad Vincula, mentioning King Herod and Antony and Cleopatra [STC 24880], outer margins cut down
