Catalogue Note
Hart-Davis records eight of Beerbohm's drawings of G.K. Chesterton but not, apparently, the present example. It is similar to the Beerbohm drawing reproduced in the Bystander for 24 July 1912 and Caricatures by Max (1958). That drawing, apparently untitled and unsigned, is owned by the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford.
