Please note that the cataloguing for this lot should read "An Italian walnut table, Bologna or Umbria, part 17th century", and not as stated in the printed catalogue.
The associated top presents lovely patina and colour, with marks and scratches consistent with age and use. The base with 17th century legs but joined by new upper stretcher support; later drawer; marks of old woodworm that appears to be no longer active; the leg stretchers with good signs of age and wear. A very decorative piece.
