The canvas has been relined, the paint surface is slightly dirty, and the varnish is discoloured. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals scattered retouching to areas of loss, each no more than approx. 1cm. long in the woman's arm and back, and running in a vertical line down the left side of the canvas. There is also some strengthening in the lower right corner, and minor retouching in the woman's headscarf. In overall good condition.
