Condition

FR : Bon état général. Restauration d'une ancienne fissure dans la veine du bois sur un barreau du dos et d'une autre sur l'accoudoir droit du fauteuil. Une éclat au rebord de l'accoudoir gauche avec deux enfoncements. Un petit enfoncement sur l'accoudoir droit. Une fissure sur le montant de l'accoudoir gauche, au niveau de la jonction du pied. Une restauration au pied postérieur gauche. Suite d'enfoncements dûe à un frottement au dessus de l'arcade du piètement arrière sur environ 13 cm. Quelques petits enfoncements et griffures en partie inférieure des pieds. Deux rayures superficielles et quelques petits enfoncements sur l'assise. L'ensemble est bien conservé et a été entretenu. EN : Good overall condition. Restoration of an old crack in the wood vein on one rail of the back and of another one on the right armrest. A chip on the edge of the left armrest with two dents. A minor dent on the right armrest. A crack on the side below the left armrest, close to the junction with the foot. A restoration to the back left foot. Several dents resulting from a friction on the back lower part, on approximately 13 cm. Several minor dents and scratches on the bottom of the feet. Two shallow scratches and a few dents on the seat. This chair is well preserved and has been taken care of .

Ce modèle de fauteuil a été créé pour le fumoir et la salle de billard du salon de thé de Catherine Cranston à Glasgow. A ce jour, seuls cinq exemplaires de ce fauteuil sont répertoriés.

This armchair was created for the smoking and billiard rooms of Catherine Cranston's tea rooms in Glasgow. At the time of the writing, five armchairs are known to have been produced
