Condition

The canvas has been relined. There is a pattern of surface hairline craquelure throughout. Ultra-violet light reveals scattered strokes of cosmetic retouching, notably in the craquelure in the horse to the centre and along the lower edge, ands some areas which fluorescence green which appear to be old residual varnish. The picture is otherwise in good condition and ready to hang. Presented in a decorative gilt frame.
