  • signed and dated l.r.: D. Grant./ .'59
  • oil on canvas board

Condition

The board is formed of three parts, with visible joins along the upper and lower horizontal edge. There are pin holes and slight nail heads visible along these edges upon closer inspection. There is a small horizontal line of loss in the bottom right hand corner, with some further minor scuffs and light scratches visible upon elsewhere, including but not limited to the extreme edges. There is minor surface dirt, but this excepting the work is in good overall condition. Ultraviolet light reveals a couple of traces of fluorescence and probably retouching to the upper left quadrant. Housed in a single gilt wooden frame.
