Designed as a caterpillar set with polished citrines and brilliant-cut diamonds, the eyes set with polished onyx.

A gift from Andrew, 11th Duke of Devonshire (1920-2004) to Deborah, Duchess of Devonshire (1920-2014)

Condition

Citrines of medium yellow, transparent, typical inclusions visible under magnification. Diamonds bright and lively. Onyx in good condition. Scratches consistent with wear. Slight tarnish to back in one place. Secure clasp. In good condition.
