Comprising: a pair of gold and enamel commemorative Coronation cufflinks depicting the entwined monogram of Edward VII and Alexandra and the date 1902, to figure of eight connecting links; four cultured pearl studs; nine mother-of-pearl dress buttons; seven mother-of-pearl dress studs; a pair of silver cufflinks; a pair of floral enamel cufflinks; two odd cufflinks; two gold collar stays, signed Asprey, British hallmarks and maker's marks; two stick pins and a jade pendant, part illustrated.

Provenance

The silver cufflinks presented to Andrew, 11th Duke of Devonshire (1920-2004) by the organisers of the Chatsworth Horse Trials. The Duke wore the jade pendant as a fob on his keychain.

Condition

Coronation cufflinks: loss of red and blue enamel to each cufflink, scratches and dents consistent with wear. Four cultured pearl studs: British hallmarks for 2001, nine mother-of-pearl dress buttons, seven mother-of-pearl dress studs: all is reasonably good condition, with abrasions and scratches consistent with wear. Some tarnish to the metal. Silver cufflinks: engraved A.C. and Chatsworth Horse Trials, British hallmarks. Scratches consistent with wear. Floral enamel cufflinks: In good condition. Two odd cufflinks: Scratches to glass and metal consistent with wear. In reasonable condition. Two gold collar stays, signed Asprey, British hallmarks for 1967 and maker's marks. In fitted pouch stamped Asprey. Scratches to metal consistent with wear. In good condition. Two stick pins: glass on one in good condition, tarnished metal on both. Scratches consistent with wear. Jade pendant: with one significant crack, orange peeled surface, abrasions and chips consistent with wear.
