Collection of jewellery

Comprising: a silver and enamel pendant designed as a goose, accented with mixed-cut rubies, 1880s; a gilt-metal dress ornament designed as an open work bow, accented with multi-coloured paste, 1790s; and a silver gilt and shagreen locket, the rectangular cut-cornered locket applied with a ribbon tied swag on a shagreen ground, the interior fitted with a mirror, fitted case stamped Callow of Mount Street, Mayfair, 1900s.

The pendant designed as a goose mounted in silver showing loss of enamel. Rubies, medium- light purplish red, transparent, typical inclusions visible under the naked eye, minor chips and abrasions to facet edges consistent with wear. Tarnished gold throughout the metal and scratches consistent with wear. The gilt-metal dress ornament, tarnished metal throughout and scratches to metal consistent with wear. The reverse of the shagreen cover detached with traces of old residue. Discoloration throughout the metal and scratches consistent with wear.
