The Duchess writes, 'In 1941 my aunt gave me three pounds to buy myself a wedding present. I rushed to Peter Jones and got the triple mirror which is on the dressing table' (op. cit. p. 2).

Condition

gilding to the wood is tired and shows old marks, possibly later gild. The plates distressed and with old marks. The metalwork dirty. possibly later decorated
