  • Silver, Horn, Mother of Pearl
comprising; three carving knives, three forks and a sharpener, the cover with engraved plaque "Presented to their Graces The Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, by the Master & Mistress Cutler, Mr & Mrs Hugh Sykes, on the occasion of the Chatsworth Charity Evening, 22nd March 1991", together with a set of four George III style silver salts, Birmingham, 1891, reeded oval, engraved with the Devonshire crest, 8.2cm., 3 1/4 in. long, a modern cased silver five-piece condiment set, London, 1975, comprising: mustard pot, pepper pot, salt and two spoons, pepper pot 7cm., 2 3/4 in. high, a Victorian silver mounted cut glass mustard pot, 10.1cm., 4in. higha cased Scandinavian 18th century style pewter butter tureen, 16.5cm., 6 1/2 in. long, a cased set of twelve Norwegian silver and blue enamel coffee spoons, stamped '925', 9.5cm., 3 3/4 in. long, a cased set of six Edwardian silver and mother-of-pearl fish knives, James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield, 1903, 19cm., 7 1/5 in. long, and four further cased sets of electroplated flatware (31)

Condition

Carving set and pewter cup in as new condition. The flatware is in fairly good order, the cases are generally quite dilapidated.
