the rounded reeded rectangular top above a single ebony strung drawer and conforming dummy drawer on turned legs ending in brass cappings and castors

Possibly acquired by William Spencer Cavendish, 6th Duke of Devonshire (1790-1858)

Condition

The top with numerous old marks and scratches and one flap partly detached to one side and I need of attention. Watermarks from plants and marks from office use generally. Probably re-polished. Fractures to loose flap on one side. losses to ebony strung drawer.
