  • A Table Centrepiece
  • signed
  • bronze and glass
  • height: 40cm.; 15¾in.

Provenance

Commissioned from the artist by Andrew, 11th Duke of Devonshire (1920-2004) and Deborah, Duchess of Devonshire (1920-2014). This work references The Seahorse Fountain at Chatsworth.

Condition

The elements of the work appear sound. There is some light rubbing to some of the protruding edges of the bronze sculpture. There is some surface dirt, most apparent to the inside of the glass element and the centre of the bronze base, and there are some minor traces of oxidisation to the bronze. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in good overall condition. The work is freestanding.
