Catalogue Note

The Duchess had a very successful stud of Shetland ponies for over 25 years at Chatsworth. The photograph below, from 1966, shows her with ‘Floristan’ a pony from this stud, using a set of tack from the offered lot, on the Salisbury Lawn at Chatsworth.
