comprising; a blue ground example reserved with a flower panel and fitted with two inkwells and covers and a taperstick; a green ground example, decorated with flowers and fitted with two inkwells and covers and a taperstick; another green ground inkstand fitted with two inkwells and covers; together with a small German or French porcelain box and cover in the form of a quiver of arrows (19)

Condition

Blue ground example: Some wear to the gilding and enamels. Both quill-holders are restored. One inkwell has two short haircracks and has discoloration consistent with use. Green-ground example on the left in catalogue illustration: In generally good condition apart from the taperstick, which has an approximate 1-in. long area with some chipping. The green-ground example on the right in the catalogue illustration: Some very minor wear to the gilding. The pierced inkwell has been broken in half and restored back. There is a short haircrack running down the rim edgeand some discoloration consistent with sue. One cover has a tiny restored chip. The sander: The liner is possibly a replacement. There is an approximate 3-inch by 2-inch restored section at the rim. The interior of the sander is oversprayed possibly covering a haircrack. The box and cover: Some wear to the gilding and some minor chips to the tips of the feathers.
