The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the background tends more towards a very pale mint green, the tonality of the impastoed areas is richer and more vibrant and the catalogue illustration fails to fully convey the highly textured impasto in the original.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. Visible only under close inspection in raking light are a few handling marks along the vertical edges of the composition, which are in keeping with the artist's choice of media. Further very close inspection reveals a few minute and unobtrusive nicks to the impasto peaks. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.
